6/6 - spitting in your mouth
Friday’s Newsletter: fitting in with the youths on a train to the fermentation festival
Let’s recap yesterday:
Elon and Musk had a very public break up.
It hit 86 degrees in the city.
I didn’t leave the office until 7:20 pm.
I listened to ~1 hour’s worth of voice memos from my friend, Morgan.
Lauren and I met up in Tompkins Square Park before running into Amanda and her sister at the Byline 2nd Anniversary Party.
Stef and I experienced one of the most beautiful moments public transit has to offer - we looked up from our phones and were on the same train.
Thursday’s events were the ideal way to head into some much needed PTO. Believe it or not, my time off revolves around Gov Ball. Yep, three days of the Queens bound F train and I’m a little nervous. What I know of Gov Ball consists of the raucous crowds of teens that clog the subway every year. Can I fit in with those teens? We will see…
There is a great lineup (which is why we’re going) but I’m most excited for Snow Wife:
I’m hosting a froyo meetup every two weeks, the next one is June 16th, 6 pm - RSVP!
If you want to get in on Wishlist Offline, the new project I’m launching, please fill out this form. I swearrr I’m working on something, not just collecting your personal info 🫶
Thought Starters
a crush (?)
*poem*
The astrology is perfect for having a little crush right now. My friend, Sara, was recently struck by cupid’s arrow and encapsulates the heart quickening magic in this poem.
crush, pop, push - please.
ow.
What does it mean to have a crush?
dumb queston, good question.
Texting all day when you despise your phone. Rocking a semi permanent blush. Smiling at everything and nothing. Constantly craving a Shirley temple. Thinking about your diamond stud. Replaying that moment when you asked me to spit in your mouth and I said “like this?”
crush, pop, push - yes. ow.
Things to do
A Fungi Art Show
When: June 7th - 29th, 1 - 6 pm on weekends
Where: Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, 481 Van Brunt St, Door 7
What: It’s an art show about mushrooms, featuring “visual art, sculpture, sound, video, and performance… exploring where art, science, psychedelics, and biology intersect.” Attend the opening reception on June 7th (RSVP here) for extra treats!
Fermentation Festival
When: June 14, 11 am - 6pm
Where: Twin Star Orchards, 155 N Ohioville Rd, New Paltz NY
What: Remember that feeling at the end of summer, when you’re mourning the disparity between your plans and what you actually accomplished? You’re left tallying up the times you could have gone to the beach but stayed inside. Or the opportunities to watch free movies in the park that you never took. DON’T LET THIS BE ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU NEVER CROSSED OFF YOUR SUMMER BUCKET LIST. Get your a$$ on the train and head to the Fermentation Festival.

Olive Swimsuit
*apparel*
Maggs Rags just dropped a new collection and this swimsuit caught my eye. I believe it’s 1 of 1 so snap it up before someone else does! The motifs she sews on the thrifted pieces inspire my style journey. Her brand reminds me that I can always personalize my clothes by adding a little flair : )
What is it? Olive Swimsuit - 2XL
How much? $85
